Interactive Session: Client Feedback
On November 17th, 2022, PBDD hosted their first interactive session with partners, focused on the topic of collecting client feedback. The topic was “Collecting qualitative and quantitative feedback from clients”, was moderated by Katherine Lato of PBDD, and featured Dave Sevick from Computer Reach, Maryanna Milton of AZStRUT and Lauren Smyth from UC-Santa Barbara based on her fellowship working with AZStRUT.
The video is available here. Key takeaways included:
- Be kind. People don’t respond to people who are know-it-all experts. They respond to people who are patient.
- Be brief. Ask people to fill out a sticky notes with feedback at the end of class, or to respond to a text rather than email or a long form.
- Be respectful. Respect people’s time and feelings.
If you have suggestions for future topics, we’d love to hear from you!
Experience Paper: Effective Programs
We have completed our latest experience paper- Effective Program Services, and it is available at https://www.pbdd.org/experience-paper-effective-partner-program-services/. We thank all of our partners who shared their experience and stories with us.
We asked our partners to share “what makes an effective program service”. Our five key questions were:
- How did it get started?
- What lessons have been learned from the time you started it to now?
- Can you share a story about people who the program serves?
- What impact has this program had on the community and your goals or mission?
- What are the challenges?
