About us

Photo of board members, three people.Many things in modern society require at least some computer skill: applying for a job, taking the GED test, communicating with family. We help by providing resources and information about successful endeavors to bridge the digital divide.

Our accomplishments include:

  1. Launched in March, 2015, as an Illinois corporation recognized as a US 501(c)3
  2. Partnered with thirty-six agencies working to bridge the digital divide.  For a full listing, take a look at our partner agencies page.
  3. Writing experience papers by gathering information from our partner agencies, looking for common themes, and analyzing the results. We continue to write one or two a year.
  4. Documented and shared information about programs, processes, and resources to publicize existing programs, to facilitate collaboration and improve the capabilities of each of the member agencies. See our web pages under Training and Initiatives.
  5. Participated in industry conferences including sharing information gained through attendance. See write-ups from prior conferences in our newsletters.
  6. Provided scholarships for partners to attend conferences.
  7. Launched local initiatives via our MAPPINGS program.
  8. Adding to our partner profiles , with an in-person visit if possible.
  9. We were a sponsor for the 2021 online Net Inclusion conference and hosted a virtual reception associated with it including speed socializing with breakout rooms in zoom.
  10. Participated in NDIA working groups.
  11. Provided website support for several state coalitions as they were getting started in 2023.
  12. We sponsored four organizations to attend Net Inclusion in 2023.
  13. We sponsored four organizations to attend Net Inclusion in 2024.
